Touted as the #1 selling shingle in America, the Timberline HD shingle is an excellent option in laminated shingles for quality and affordability. TruDefinition Duration shingles by Owens Corning are another excellent option for your home. Luxury, or Designer, shingles are the highest quality laminated shingles available. These shingles offer stunning depth and coloration. Their visual appeal and durability are unparalleled when it comes to asphalt shingle choices. CertainTeed’s Grand Manor and GAF’s Camelot II shingles are examples of Luxury shingles.

Cedar Shake Shingles

For those homeowners who prefer a more rustic or modern look, cedar shakes might be the option for you. Shakes are split from the wood and are usually thicker and less even than other types of shingles. For a rustic look, choose hand split shakes. For a modern, refined look go with taper sawn shingles. If you can invest in premium grade shingles, there will be less curling over time. The roof will last longer. This type of roof will need to be maintained to help prevent the growth of mold and to keep insects at bay.
